SSP Apprentice Wins Blackburn College Apprentice of the Year Award

We are delighted to celebrate the success of Paul Finn, who has been named Blackburn College's Apprentice of the Year.

Paul, who recently completed his apprenticeship while working as an Apprentice Housing Support Worker within our Rochdale Prevention Service, received the prestigious award in recognition of his dedication, hard work and outstanding contribution throughout his apprenticeship journey.

The award marks another significant achievement in our commitment to developing future talent through apprenticeships. Over the past four years, nine out of ten of our apprentices have successfully completed their programmes and progressed into permanent roles within the organisation. Several former apprentices, including Leah, Alice and Millie, have also gained recognition through local, regional and national awards.

Paul's success story does not end there. Following the completion of his apprenticeship, he recently applied for a position at Ashburn House and was successful in securing the role, taking the next exciting step in his career with us.

Paul's journey is a fantastic example of how apprenticeships can provide valuable opportunities for personal and professional development while helping to strengthen services for the people and communities we support.

We are incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished and look forward to seeing his continued success in his new role.
