Campaign Update

This summer has been a significant one for our campaign, Together We Can End Homelessness, our strategic call to action setting out the changes we believe are essential to tackling homelessness at its roots.

Developed from years of frontline experience and shaped by the voices of those we support, our campaign sets out five clear priorities to address both the immediate pressures and the deeper, systemic barriers that keep people trapped in cycles of housing insecurity. It was inspired by real stories from people in our services, from care leavers facing impossible choices, to individuals stuck in temporary accommodation for months on end.

Highlights from the summer include:

• Positive media coverage in Inside Housing, with a piece written by our CEO, Dave Smith, championing our campaign to end homelessness in the lead-up to the GM Mayoral election
• A successful social media campaign targeting GM Mayoral candidates ahead of the election, calling for support for a GM Living Rent

We'd also like to extend a warm welcome to Florence Eshalomi in her new role as Homelessness Minister and congratulate Angela Rayner on her new position as Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government. We look forward to working with them both to end homelessness.
