We're committed to making sure every voice, whether from the young people we support or the colleagues who support them, plays a part in shaping our organisation. Here's a look at two initiatives helping us do just that.

Young People's Voices Shape Our Services

We're proud to share the launch of our new Young Person's Forum, giving young people in our Ofsted-registered supported accommodation services a direct say in shaping the resources and support designed for them.

The inaugural session took place on 9 July, bringing together ten young people to share their views on our Young Person's Guide and Independence Workbook. The feedback was honest, constructive and hugely valuable, young people told us they appreciated being asked, felt genuinely listened to, and were able to identify practical ways to make our written information clearer and more relevant to their experiences.

Following its success, the Forum will now run quarterly, becoming an embedded part of how we listen to young people and continuously improve our services. A "you said, we did" update will also be introduced at future sessions, so young people can see exactly how their feedback has shaped real change.

This is an important step in strengthening how we involve young people in decisions that affect them, and reflects our ongoing commitment to co-production, participation and putting their voices at the heart of everything we do.

Welcome to the Bigger Picture

Following a successful first session delivered by Andy, we've now scheduled the next few Welcome to the Bigger Picture sessions in advance, including a twilight session on 22 September, delivered by Ben, for colleagues working outside standard office hours.

These sessions are all about working with our colleagues to help them feel connected to the organisation as a whole, building understanding of our purpose and direction, the role of the SLT, how their work contributes to our success, and how they can feed back and help shape positive change.
