Operations Manager
Helen Smith's background previous to joining Stepping Stone Projects was with the Probation Service, leaving care for the local authority and also a homeless charity in Rochdale working in the women’s service at a supported housing project.
She joined SSP in 2021 and worked on Care Leavers for a period of 6 months. Following this she moved over to Rochdale Prevention in 2022 as AOM and was seconded into the position of Operations Manager which she has been for the past 12 months.
As Operations Manager Helen manages two 24 hour supported housing projects in Rochdale and Heywood, as well as the floating support service, which supports customers in the community who are at risk of becoming homeless. She manages a currently have a team of 18 staff across this service who have a wide range of skills.
