For each vacancy you will see a brief description of the job and a more detailed role description and person specification. These are important documents and you will be required to refer to them when making your application.

Please note that the organisation will seek two references and all applicants will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a right to work check usually prior to commencing employment. All posts are offered subject to a standard six month probationary period.

We are currently recruiting for a number of varied job vacancies some of which are based at our Supported Accommodation services in Rochdale, the others working across the North West on our Care Leavers service.

Supported Housing Workers – working across the North West

We require dynamic individuals who are highly motivated and committed to meet the needs of our clients. These are challenging but rewarding roles working on our North West Care Leavers service with young people to help them develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to secure and maintain independent accommodation. We are seeking to fill the following posts:

2 x Supported Housing Workers (Days)

  • 22.5 hours: Monday-Friday flexibility to work additional hours is required to meet the needs of clients; some occasional weekend working
  • Salary: range from £20,178 – 23,511 per annum based on 37.5 hours

1 x Temporary Supported Housing Workers (Days) – Fixed term to August 2020 to cover maternity leave.

  • 22.5 hours: Monday-Friday, flexibility to work additional days is required
  • Salary: range from £12,107-14,107 per annum

You should have the ability to

  1. Provide high quality resettlement support to a portfolio of clients, who may have complex needs and who can be challenging to work with, within a dispersed tenancy.
  2. Support and empower clients, through proactive interaction, to develop the skills they need to access and sustain a home in the long term.
  3. Develop individualised packages of support, tailored to client needs, wishes, and choices that deliver target outcomes for the client in accordance with Stepping Stone Projects’ policies and procedures.
  4. To deliver/co-ordinate client social and personal development activities as directed.

Supported Housing Workers – located in the Rochdale area

We require dynamic individuals who are highly motivated and committed to meet the needs of our clients. These are challenging but rewarding roles working in busy supported accommodation schemes with hard to reach clients who may have failed to access appropriate services in the past. We are seeking to fill the following posts:

3 x Supported Housing Workers (Days)

  • 37.5 hours: Monday-Friday, two shift rota 08.00-16.00 and 12.00-20.00
  • Salary: range from £20,178 – 23,511 per annum

1 x Supported Housing Worker (Weekends)

  • 23 hours: Saturday- Sunday 08.00-20.00 hours
  • Salary: range from £12,375-14,420 per annum

1 x Supported Housing Worker (Nights)

  • 40.5 hours (average): working four on / four off shift rota 20.00 – 08.00
  • Salary: range from £21,792-22,587 per annum

You should have the ability to

  1. Provide high quality resettlement support to a portfolio of clients, who may have complex needs and who can be challenging to work with, within a supported housing project or dispersed tenancy.
  2. Support and empower clients, through proactive interaction, to develop the skills they need to access and sustain a home in the long term.
  3. Develop individualised packages of support, tailored to client needs, wishes, and choices that deliver target outcomes for the client in accordance with Stepping Stone Projects’ policies and procedures.
  4. To provide support via the telephone to clients in dispersed properties, and other agencies, giving advice and information as appropriate.
  5. To deliver/co-ordinate client social and personal development activities as directed.

All of the above roles will support both the Operations Manager and Service Co-ordinator to ensure the delivery of a proactive service to clients.

The person specification is the same for all roles but there are two role desciptions: one weekday role description and a different Out of Hours role description for the night and weekend roles.
