Lifewise – Group Sessions for 16-25 year olds, Burnley

Lifewise group sessions are open to young people aged between 16-25 who would benefit from support and mentoring in regards to independent living.

What training will clients receive?

The training modules for Lifewise group sessions have been developed by Centrepoint and enable each young person to develop the skills needed to not only maintain their tenancy, but also to develop their future aspirations. Each young person will gain AQA accredited certificates on completion of each module. Sessions take around two hours and an AQA certificate will be awarded on completion of each module.

The training modules that are available, include:

  • Dealing with debt
  • Anger management
  • Emotional awareness
  • Compiling a CV
  • Internet safety
  • Job interviews
  • Introduction to home safety

  • Assertiveness
  • Planning and preparing balanced meals
  • Household budgets – managing money
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Drugs and alcohol

Though our aim is for young people to complete all of the modules, we have had a number of individuals attend specific modules to enable them to achieve identified targeted outcomes.
