Related projects: Trainer House / Lifewise Group Sessions

The Trailblazer Project is a pilot project aimed at tackling youth homelessness and providing early intervention to prevent family breakdown before reaching crisis point.

The project is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government following a joint bid between the Pennine Lancashire authorities (Blackburn, Burnley, Rossendale, Pendle and Ribble Valley) and Lancashire County Council.

There are five different elements to the Pennine Lancashire Trailblazer project:

  1. Rapid response, early intervention conciliation and mediation
  2. Interactive website specifically focusing on young people
  3. Respite services
  4. Independent training units for young people
  5. Multi-agency training around tools to prevent youth homelessness

Stepping Stone Projects has been commissioned to provide the independent training unit element of the project. This incorporates two distinct elements, a ‘Trainer House' and ‘Lifewise’ group training sessions.
