Stamford Villa
Located in Audenshaw, Stamford Villa offers accommodation with enhanced housing management to single males aged 18 and over who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
What the service delivers
The property consists of 13 self-contained fully furnished homes with a communal laundry room. The project is staffed by a part-time Housing Officer who supports customers with long-term, low-level support needs in managing and sustaining their accommodation and independence.
This property was fully refurbished in Spring 2022 and is being delivered in partnership with Ashton Pioneer Homes with the support of Tameside Council.
The on-site Housing Officer provides an enhanced housing management service including repairs reporting and general housing-related advice to customers.

Who is eligible for the service?
Stamford Villa is a male only service for single people at risk of homelessness aged 18 and over who have long-term, low-level tenancy sustainment needs.
What help will customers receive?
At the move-in stage the Housing Officer will complete an induction programme with each new customer. The Housing Officer will offer housing related advice and guidance to assist the tenant in managing their tenancy.
Assistance that can be offered, include:
- Help complying with the terms of the tenancy.
- Advice on housing rights and responsibilities.
- Help with applying for benefits, grants and loans.
- Help with budgeting, paying bills and managing debts.
- Help filling in forms. (i.e. Welfare Benefits).
- Advice and assistance with security regarding the tenant’s home.
- Managing breaches of tenancy conditions including anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance.

To refer please contact our Central Referral Team on 01706 359600 or via e-mail at crt@stepping-stone.org.uk – an electronic e-mail form will be sent to you to complete.
Once a referral form is received, we will arrange a Needs Assessment interview with the applicant; if they meet the criteria they will be placed on the waiting list for the project.
