INTRODUCTION
Stepping Stone Project has recently been successful in winning a tender to deliver a new Floating Support service in Trafford. The Local Authority had previously identified a gap in provision for young people aged between 16 and 25 who have housing related support needs. We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with the Local Authority and other agencies in the Borough to ensure that this new service is a success.
WHAT THE SERVICE DELIVERS
Floating support services provide housing-related support for up to two years to enable Service Users to develop the skills and networks they require to live independently in their own accommodation. The new service is aimed at young people.
NEXT STAGES
We are currently delivering presentations to referring agencies, potential service users and other stakeholders to promote the new service across the Trafford borough.
A long-standing member of staff is taking a six month secondment to help setup the scheme.
