To complete a massively successful 2008, we were awarded our third new contract with the newly commissioned Alcohol Floating Support Service.
The contract was awarded by Rochdale Supporting People, involved plenty of hard work from all the staff, and reflects our excellent reputation in the Rochdale area.
The Service is designed specifically for people who have alcohol related supported needs, and will consider all referrals for those still drinking to an excess or sober for a period of time.
Former Service Users were heavily involved throughout the tender process and are now members of the steering group which has been set up to ensure the Service remains focused throughout.
We are currently accepting agency referrals and self referrals, click here and following receipt of a referral will arrange interviews to assess the applicants need.
The scheme provides support with all major issues a Service User may be dealing with, including:
- Accessing specialist alcohol related agencies
- Accessing alcohol related supported accommodation
- Accessing detox services
- Maintaining a tenancy
- Developing independent living skills
