The types of service users who benefit from our services are diverse and have a range of needs and backgrounds. Our services in Burnley specialise in accommodation for young people with general needs. Our other services accept referrals from vulnerable people with a range of needs which are often multiple. We aim to support people who are vulnerable for many reasons, including (but not exclusively) their young age, leaving care, learning difficulties, mental health problems, offending issues, and drug and alcohol misuse.
Stepping Stone support staff work closely with service users on a confidential basis, identifying their needs and aspirations at an early stage and working with them in a structured way to deliver jointly agreed outcomes. To facilitate this, Support Plans are drawn up with service users and reviewed on a regular basis. Service users are encouraged to participate in group work, which is offered at all accommodation based projects and to participate and feed into the service development plans of the organisation. |
