Stepping Stone Projects is a provider of high quality housing, support and charitable services for people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. The charity has been operating since 1984, following lobbying by the Rochdale Voluntary Action’s Standing Committee on Homelessness.
Since our first project in Rochdale we have expanded and we now deliver services across the North-West in Blackburn, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Rossendale and Wigan as well as Rochdale.
We believe that everyone has a right to quality accommodation and services which help them to achieve their optimum level of independence.
We offer a range of stable short-term accommodation-based and floating support services that offer one-to-one support and advocacy to achieve this, linking service users in with other agencies where appropriate to address problems associated with homelessness.
Our work supports service users to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to secure and maintain independent accommodation as soon as they are able.
We work in close partnership with local Strategic Authorities, Supporting People Commissioners and other stakeholders to identify and deliver quality, value for money services.
All of our services produce regular newsletters for clients, please click here for copies of the latest issues.
We have recently opened a new office in Atherton which will primarily act as a base for our Wigan Complex Needs floating support contract but will also be utilised as part of our North West Care Leavers service.
